Ewan Bleach leads a 10-piece territory band dedicated to the sound of late 1920s and early 1930s jazz, playing arranged standards and blues-inflected originals from the classic pre-swing era. Their repertoire draws from pioneering big bands of the period—Moten, Johnson, Williams, Ellington—and captures the raw energy and melodic sophistication of early American jazz before the swing era took hold.
