Hamish Stuart is a funk-inflected soul-jazz guitarist and vocalist with a smoky, soulful delivery. Original lead singer and guitarist of The Average White Band, he has written chart hits for Chaka Khan and spent six years as rhythm guitarist in Paul McCartney's band, bringing that fusion of groove-based funk and sophisticated jazz harmonies to his own band since 1994.
