A 16-piece collective led by djembe master and composer Yahael Camara Onono that fuses the polyrhythmic traditions of West African Mandé music with London jazz, soul, and hip-hop. Balimaya Project creates rhythmically dense, spiritually charged music that channels ancestral rhythms through a contemporary Black British lens, drawing on collaborations with figures across the African diaspora.
