Lauren Breen (alto saxophone) and Christ-Stéphane Boizi (trombone) lead a swinging hard-bop frontline with piano, bass and drums, playing original compositions that blend Breen's bright, powerful tone with Boizi's warm, soulful sound. Both studied at Tomorrow's Warriors and Trinity Laban, drawing on influences from Cannonball Adderley and Jackie McLean while creating contemporary music rooted in jazz tradition.
